Resurrecting this charming 1936 family treasure was a real pleasure. Everyone who worked on this project fell in love with this delightful instrument.
In 2009 we were asked to rebuild the 1903 8ft Ibach grand that had formerly been in the drawing room of the Sisters of Mercy convent, where Dame Sister Mary Leo taught. The brief was for us to rebuild this heritage instrument to performance standard so it could be used at Auckland's St Patrick's Cathedral.
In 2000 sculptor Michael Parekowhai brought us a Steinway Concert grand that had seen better days. The brief was for us to rebuild it, while he would carve and decorate the exterior.
